- What is the makeup
of Micro-Blaze Out PLUS® 3% x 3% AR-AFFF?

Micro-Blaze Out PLUS® 3% x 3%
AR-AFFF is a combination of surfactants, microbes, foaming agents
and special polymers.

- What
is the purpose of these “special
polymers”?

These polymers do two things –
one is to forma a protective membrane between the fuel and the foam
as it contacts the water-miscible fuel, making extinguishment
possible. The second is to make the foam more stable and heat
resistant.

- How does this
compare to conventional AFFFs?

The specialized polymers give
the foam more heat resistant and better sealability compared to
conventional AFFFs.

- What is the percentages
used on hydrocarbon and polar-solvent [alcohol] fires?

Micro-Blaze
Out Plus® AR-AFFF is used at 3% on both hydrocarbon and alcohol
fires.

- If I had a spill fire, could
I apply it at a lower dilution?

Yes, on fires of less than 1
inch [25mm] in depth, it can be applied at 1%.
What type of nozzle can I use?

Micro-Blaze Out PLUS® 3% x 3%
AR-AFFF can be applied by using standard fog nozzles or
air-aspirated nozzles.
Can I mix
Micro-Blaze Out PLUS® 3% x 3% AR-AFFF with other manufacturer’s
alcohol-resistant concentrates?

It is NOT recommended to mix any
other foam concentrates in long term storage.
Mixing is no problem when applied as a finished foam on a
fire.

- Is there any butyl
carbitol in Micro-Blaze Out PLUS® 3% x 3% AR-AFFF?

No!
This is a non-toxic foam concentrate.

- How long will the
foam blanket last?

Longevity depends on expansion,
pressure and the type of delivery device being used.
Tests showed drain time as long as 6 minutes.

- What
are the hazards concerning the handling of
Micro-Blaze Out Plus AR-AFFF?

- None!
The ingredients of Micro-Blaze Out PLUS® 3% x 3% AR-AFFF are
not harmful to personnel. If
anyone comes into contact with the product, simply wash it off.
