Micro-Blaze® Cleans Up Several Seattle Sites
From correspondence of a Northwest area rep:
Seattle City Light
"Locally, Seattle City Light is the biggest user of Micro-Blaze. They use Micro-Blaze to cleanup [sic] mineral oil spills from leaking transformers. The first time they used Micro-Blaze was when an underground vault transformer blew up, setting off the sprinkler system of an adjacent restaurant. The water flooded the basement of the restaurant and the vault. The water caused the mineral oil to coat the inside of the vault and the parking lot of the restaurant.
In a matter of a few hours, the vault and the parking lot were cleaned up with Micro-Blaze.
Last week alone, [Seattle City Light] had four transformer cleanups. Three were caused by cars hitting light poles and one pole with three transformers was knocked down by high winds. The three transformers released about 75 gallons of mineral oil on a bank covered with ivy. They over-sprayed the ivy and that was it [Micro-Blaze is also an excellent fertilizer!]
Seattle City Light has just purchased their second 55-gallon drum of Micro-Blaze. They use the standard 2.5 gallon water fire extinguisher with 3% Micro-Blaze [solution] added. They have six filled extinguishers always on stand-by. Needless to say, they are firm believers of Micro-Blaze.
BNSF Railroad
Micro-Blaze solved odor problems for end users!! BNSF cabooses had an on-going odor problem emitting from the toilets' five-gallon holding tanks. [Cabooses today are used solely for distant rail repair situations and serve as a lunchroom, bathroom, etc.] Sometimes a caboose may sit on a siding for a month or more before going into service.
Suring the summer months, the odor was so pronounced that repair crews hated to go in them. They had tried numerous products, including the "blue" formaldehyde based product, commonly used by RV owners. Nothing worked until they tried Micro-Blaze. After a one-month test, they checked and found NO ODOR. At that time, they ordered a case of quarts [Note: quart size no longer available-Ed.] and more recently ordered 5 five-gallon pails of Micro-Blaze, which is used exclusively for holding tank odor control. By the way, railroad engines also have five-gallon holding tanks -- same problem.
[Micro-Blaze products can help get rid of organic odors in toilets and holding tanks on RV , boats, buses; and in park bathrooms and other remote sites. Where are the odor "trouble spots" at your facility?-Ed.]
